Looking to connect with other families, parents, and caregivers of individuals with Down syndrome? Join us for the Vancouver Island Down Syndrome Society (VIDSS) Monthly Social Meet-Up — a welcoming, relaxed gathering held in various locations across Vancouver Island!

Whether you're a new parent, a longtime caregiver, a family member, or simply part of the community, our meet-ups are a great opportunity to:

• 🤝 Meet and connect with others who understand the joys and challenges of the Down syndrome journey

• 💬 Share stories, resources, and advice in a casual and supportive setting

• 🧒 Let your children and loved ones socialize, play, and make new friends.

• 💙 Celebrate the vibrant Down syndrome community here on Vancouver Island

📍 Rotating Locations – Island-Wide

To ensure accessibility for families from all over the Island, we host our meet-ups in different locations each month — from Duncan to Nanaimo, Campbell River, Courtenay, Campbell River and beyond.

Each location is family-friendly and often includes a local park, or community center where everyone can feel comfortable and relaxed.

We’re looking for volunteers who can help organize two or three social meet ups in Nanaimo and Port Alberni.

Whether you're brand new to the Down syndrome community or have been involved for years, we’d love to see you there. Siblings, grandparents, friends — all are welcome. These gatherings are all about community, support, and friendship.
