An island wide event for adults and children with Down syndrome, their families, and support professionals.

Join us on June 17th, 2023 between 10:30am and 2:00 pm for an awareness walk and picnic at Westwood Lake, Nanaimo.

For the awareness walk, we are raising funds for the Canadian Down Syndrome Society. You can help raise funds by registering with our team (Vancouver Island Down Syndrome Society).  Click on "start or join a team" then start typing in Vancouver Island Down Syndrome Society (it will pop up as you type), select our team and continue with your registration. 

If you do not wish to become a team member you may also simply donate.


Please let us know if you can make it to the walk and picnic by RSVPing to info@vidownsyndrome.ca so that we can ensure we have enough hot dogs.

We will also be offering our Awareness Walk T-shirts again this year for $15.00 each. Registration with T-Shirt is due June 1st. Below is a picture of what will be printed on the front in black.
